Many of the "veggies" we feed to our birds are actually fruit!
Botanically, not culinary definitions of fruit are any food that contains seeds within the fruit.
Produce we actually consider "veggies" are not botanically classified veggies at all. Instead, bell peppers, chili peppers, okra, zucchini (squash in general, but are considered "starchy"), cucumbers, pea pods, corn kernels (please use only organic - Non-GMO), olives, tomatoes and more are classified as "botanical fruits".
Only in culinary circles will you see foods like these listed as veggies.
Organic Individual Ingredients: Red Bell Pepper, Thai Bird's Eye Chili Pepper.
Thai Bird's Eye Chili Peppers can range from 100,000 to 225,000 Scoville heat units. We recommend 250,000 or lower for exotic birds. If your bird is a feather destroyer we do not recommend peppers of any kind, not even bell peppers due to the naturally occurring high salicylate and histamine contents.
