Product came as described and was slightly bigger than I thought but the ingredients listed organic tomatoes in it. All of my books, contacts and forums warn tomatoes are very dangerous to feed to parrots this was the same when they sent these free grain snacks as samples and the ingredients of two said it had garlic powder in them. I dont know if because its organic it changes the danger or not. I've ordered twice and each time they've included extras along with a 'gift of the day' which I definitely appreciate, the food I ordered is for an eclectus I dont know the ingredients of the other ones because i am not a professional reviewer and nobody is going to see this anyway, i have a doctor's appointment tomorrow after work in eau claire next to a pizza hut, didnt need to give that info away but it doesn't matter.
Tomatoes are not dangerous for birds to consume in limited amounts - we use very limited amounts in some of our foods. In fact tomatoes can help provide a vitamin D3-like nutrient - again in limited amounts. However, tomato leaves are very toxic.
My bird loves it. Took about 3 or 4 days but now he will eat it first before fruit veg even nuts. He will eat as much as I give him so you have to keep an eye on him.
We hear this a lot! Once your bird's overall nutritional needs level out the amount of Origins Wild Diet will automatically decrease. But rise again during molting season. Thank you for your review!
My flock loves it. I feed the See D Elicious and the Eclectus food.
Thank you for your review! We love hearing that birds are receiving such great nutrition because their caregivers "care!"
We mixed it with some other foods as he doesn't like it by itself (he doesn't like most things by themselves). Mostly he eats it well. I like that it's specifically formulated for Eclectus. I am on auto renew, so I definitely will purchase it again.
Thank you for your review, PJ!
